On the Court
Entering his 17th season in 2019-20, Scott Drew is tied as the Big 12’s longest-tenured head coach and has notched a school-record 316 victories in his first 16 years, including a 21-9 postseason record since 2009. Over the past 12 years, Drew has led Baylor to eight NCAA Tournament appearances, four Sweet 16 berths, two trips to the Elite Eight and the program’s first No. 1 national ranking. Baylor has averaged 24 wins per season since the first year Drew led BU to the NCAA Tournament in 2008, becoming one of the nation’s most consistent programs with active streaks of 12 straight seasons with at least 18 wins and eight straight years advancing to postseason play.
Off the Court
Scott Drew is married to Kelly Drew. The couple have one daughter named Mackenzie and two sons named Peyton and Brody. In regards to his faith, Drew has said, "We may not win another game this year, and I may be a horrible coach, but if any of these guys leave without knowing Christ, that will be the real loss.”
