On the Field
Phillip Lindsay left The University of Colorado as a legend. He started 30-of-51 games played and finished his career as the program's all-time leader in all-purpose yards (5,926) and yards from scrimmage (4,849). He then ended his career as the Buffs' second all-time leading rusher (3,775 yards) and was the first CU player to record back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. Still, he left the NCAA undrafted, only to eventually sign with the Denver Broncos and become the first undrafted player in NFL history to top 100 yards from scrimmage in each of his first two NFL games. and the first undrafted offensive rookie in NFL history to be selected to the Pro Bowl.
Off the Field
Lindsay’s personal story is one of faith and perseverance. Even after scouts and agents continued to overlook him because of his size, he made a name for himself as an athlete known for never backing down from challenges. He publicly cites his faith in God’s plan for his life as the reason he’s able to live through all the ups and downs life and sports throw at him.
