Sandy León was born March 13, 1989 and is a Venezuelan professional baseball catcher for the Cleveland Indians. He previously played for the Washington Nationals and Boston Red Sox. In 2018, he went 3 for 6 as a part of the World Series Champion Boston Red Sox.
Off the Field
Leon is known for his unshakeable faith in the face of hardships—like when In the fourth inning of his major league debut, he sprained his right ankle in a collision at home plate. Later, when he was traded to Boston, where he had a breakout season. He attribute that success to Gos saying, “It's moments like that when you know the power of God is unbelievable. There is nothing that is impossible for Him.”
