On the Court
Neal Young was named the 16th head coach in Covenant men's basketball history in August of 2017. Young completed his third year at the helm of the Covenant program in 2019-20. During his tenure, he has led the team to back-to-back USA South West Division regular season titles (2018-19 and 2019-20) and continued the current streak of five straight winning seasons (three under Young), the longest streak in program history.
Off the Court
"My mission in taking over at Covenant will be the same that it has always been. We will create a culture of selflessness and fearlessness that will attract passionate, competitive, like-minded players who are bought into being pushed in every aspect of who they are," Young said at the time of his hiring. "I believe this culture is one that will produce teams who win on the court but more importantly men who go on to win as followers of Christ, husbands, dads, professionals, and disciple-makers."
